Founded in 1997, Humane Tomorrow is an all-volunteer organization dedicated to the rescue and placement of unwanted and abused animals in Flower Mound and surrounding areas. They are also committed to spay/neuter assistance and education to companion animal guardians.
The Glenn and Shirley Hulcher Family Animal Care Center is a 5,000-square-foot building that will serve as the center for all operations until fundraising is complete for the Community Center for Animals, which will ultimately include a 6,000-square-foot two-story building with animal adoption areas and space for educational and community events.
The Animal Care Center will act as an intake point between shelter and foster home for new animals to the program, as well as host adoption events, serve as the pickup point for Love on Wheels transports, and provide emergency sheltering when needed due to natural disasters and large-scale animal rescues.
The complete facility will cost approximately $4.5 million. The initial donation of $2 million provided by Glenn and Shirley Hulcher allowed Humane Tomorrow to purchase five acres in Argyle and complete construction of the Animal Care Center. The capital campaign for Phase 2, the adoption, education, and community building, is underway. An anonymous donor has agreed to match donations to the capital campaign up to $1 million.
We’re honored to donate our time and resources to install the landscaping surrounding the buildings and throughout the project. We’ll start this spring…stay tuned for photos and updates!
